Spatio-temporal dynamics of the microbiome of Acropora millepora corals and their symbiotic fish Dascyllus emano along an environmental gradient in Ahe atoll (French Polynesia), for the plasticor project, 2019
The study examines spatio-temporal variations in bacterial communities associated with corals (Acropora millepora), fish (Dascyllus emano), and seawater across three sites in the Ahe lagoon exposed to different levels of anthropogenic pressure. It highlights marked differences among sites and seasons, with shifts in microbial diversity and composition, particularly pronounced during the cold season.
