Sea State Sea Surface Temperature Ocean surface stress

This buoy is operated by the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation Fisheries Assessment Program to track water temperatures in the nearshore area during key seasonal windows. This deployment supports several research projects regarding fish species of cultural and socioeconomic importance to the Saugeen Ojibway Nation. NOTE: The wind values displayed for these buoys (Sofar Spotters & Smart Moorings) are based on an estimate from its wave measurements, and not an actual direct measurement.
