Collection of Down Casts Collected by Ocean Networks Canada from Salish Sea Area During NEPTUNE/VENUS Maintenance 2023-03 Expedition Aboard CCGS John P. Tully

This collection contains multiple independent vertical downcast profiles collected during the NEPTUNE/VENUS Maintenance 2023-03 expedition aboard the CCGS John P. Tully, conducted between 2023-03-12 and 2023-03-20 from the Salish Sea area, across multiple stations. The Salish Sea includes a network of channels and coastal waters near Vancouver Island. The Salish Sea includes the Strait of Georgia, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Saanich Inlet and Puget Sound. Each dataset within this collection includes oceanographic data collected at various depths in the water column by a suite of instruments, during a single profiling deployment known as a ‘cast’. A Cast Infrastructure Device Set typically includes a CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth), and oxygen sensor(s), and occasionally includes additional piggyback devices like fluorometer(s), transmissometer(s), radiometer(s) and a handheld GPS device. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
