This record describes scientific split-beam echosounder data collected on the RV Investigator voyage IN2026_V04, titled "Quaternary evolution of the Darumbal and Woppaburra Sea Country in the Southern Great Barrier Reef." The voyage took place between July 28, 2026 and August 20, 2026 (AEST), departing from Brisbane and returning to Brisbane.
The Simrad EK80 split beam echosounders for 18, 38, 70 120, 200 and (333) kHz were used to acquire acoustic backscatter data to a range of 1500 m, around the Tropic of Capricorn, Southern Great Barrier Reef. All frequencies were logged continuously for the extent of the voyage.
Data are stored in *.raw, *.bot and *.idx format at CSIRO. There are 919 files totalling 88 GB of raw data in this dataset.
