RV Investigator Voyage IN2026_V05 Hydrology Data

This record describes Hydrology (HYD) data collected from the Marine National Facility (MNF) RV Investigator voyage IN2026_V05, titled: "Next Generation of Ocean LiDAR." The voyage took place between August 27, 2026 and September 07, 2026 (AEST), departing from Brisbane and returning to Brisbane.

CTD samples were collected and analysed for dissolved oxygen and salinity by the onboard Hydrochemistry team. Nutrients samples were not collected or analysed on this voyage. Experimental samples for dissolved oxygen and salinity were collected during the CTD test cast for internal hydrochemistry testing. Please note that the results from the experimental samples are not included in the final hydrology dataset for this voyage. Please refer to Hydrochemistry output section for more detail on sample types and analyses. Thermosalinograph (TSG) samples were also continuously collected throughout the voyage, with on-board measurements of their salinity used to calibrate the ship's underway system. Hydrochemistry team also collected bulk low-nutrients seawater (2000L) on this voyage which is specifically used as matrix for nutrients analysis for hydrochemistry team.

This dataset has been processed (quality-controlled), and archived at the CSIRO National Collections and Marine Infrastructure (NCMI) Information and Data Centre (IDC) in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the Voyage Report and Data Processing Report.
