DE Benthic habitats and communities map, EUNIS classification

The dataset is based on the biotope map in the national habitat classification system (Finck et al. 2017) in the extended coastal area and the EEZ and the distribution of MSFD broad habitat types in the inner coastal area (BMUV (Hrsg.) 2024, URL: https://mitglieder.meeresschutz.info/de/berichte/zustandsbewertungen-art8-10.html?file=files/meeresschutz/berichte/art8910/zyklus2024/Zustandsbericht_Nordsee_2024.pdf). These were translated in the EUNIS classification 2022 level 3 (HAB_TYPE) and, where possible, level 5 (SUBHABTYPE).
