FR005066 - Benthic habitats map of Corsica east coast (CARBONSINK program)

The inventory of coastal carbon sinks, present in Corsica, was initiated through several oceanographic surveys: CapCoral (2010, 2011), CoralCorse (2013) and PosidoCorse (2015). Carbonsink is a project on carbon sink sites in a eastern coast of Corsica realized in 2018. This project have three main objectives to complete thoses historical data: finalize the cartography of the Posidonia meadows along the eastern coast of Corsica, quantify and characterize the carbon stocks present in the matte in representative sites, identify the main pressures likely to lead to a degradation of these carbon sinks and propose management measures allowing their conservation or even their reinforcement. This map has been partitioned.
