Baseline Monitoring Survey of Lynn Knock Reefs within the Inner Dowsing
This report describes the results of a set of dedicated benthic surveys devised to identify the presence, extent and condition of Annex I biogenic reef features at Lynn Knock Reefs. Lynn Knock Reefs lies within the Inner Dowsing, Race Bank and North Ridge cSAC. Baseline data on biogenic reef features created by Sabellaria spinulosa have been acquired, comprising acoustic data to map the area and to ascertain reef extent, video and photographic stills to groundtruth acoustic signatures and confirm reef presence, and grab sample data to characterise the infaunal benthic assemblage and ascertain reef condition.
