The physical oceanography of Bowling Green Bay, north Queensland: Station BG08
A Seadata TDR and an Aanderaa WLR were attached to a concrete dump in consecutive deployments at Station BG08. The location of this station was chosen to measure the cross-bay phase and amplitude change.Deployment Details:Deployment 1Instrument: TDR #196Instrument depth: 3mSampling interval: 30 minutesDate deployed: 29/10/1984Date recovered: 18/12/1984Deployment 2Instrument: WLR #488Instrument depth: 3mSampling interval: 30 minutesDate deployed: 18/12/1984Date recovered: 18/03/1985 This study was initiated to:1. gain an understanding of the circulation of water in Bowling Green Bay2. complement concurrent studies by AIMS scientists researching the ecology, nutrient regime and trophodynamics of the coastal boundary of the Great Barrier Reef lagoon.
